Home from Big Blue Country

Hello everyone!I want to apologize for my poor effort in keeping this up-to-date. I am going to try my best to write more often. My mom and I just returned home from northwest Michigan this morning and I am glad to be home for a couple of days. The trip was wonderful. The weather was cool (we had permanent goosebumps) but it was a nice change from our 100 degree temps in Oklahoma. The bugs were awful! I have never seen flies that big and that slow moving!! We all felt suffocated out there on the course. As if golf wasn't hard enough, we had to deal with 100 flies around us on every shot. The course was in perfect shape and the field had numerous LPGA players so that provided great competition.

I started off the tournament with an unlucky triple bogey. I have been fighting the rights off the tee and it got the best of me by going out of bounds but it made me focus for the rest of the round and came back the next day with an under par round. Yesterday (the final round) was a very solid round and I'm pretty happy with how I played. I finished the tournament at T15th and made $850. I am learning each week and improving mentally and physically so the journey has been a success thus far.

A quick update from the month of July: I traveled to Crossville, TN to play in the Tennessee Womens Open and finished T11th. Made $600 but unfortunately finished the tournament bogey, bogey, double, bogey. Oh what it could have been with just four pars to finish..
My home club, The Greens Country Club, sponsored me with my own membership and line of Nike clothes so I will be sporting the "G" while I play in tournaments. I am extremely happy that they want me to stay there to practice and play. I love the members and the employees so I'm a happy girl! Other sponsorships are coming along and I'm extremely relieved and happy about that. It is HAAARDD work but it is fun at the same time to find people who want to support me and my lifelong dream.

The Greens signing day

I found out that I was on the alternate list for two Futures events in August so I dropped out and added the Ohio Womens Open which I will be leaving for this coming Saturday and play Monday and Tuesday. After that, I will be home for a month getting ready for the LPGA Q School in September. My entry fee has been sent off so I am hoping to hear back from them in the coming days to let me know that I'm in! This summer has been a fun one to where I have learned a lot about myself and realize that I have a lot of work left in order to get to where I want to be. I know that I have it in me to succeed at the highest level but I just need to believe it for every second of every day. Well, I'm off to the course and will meet my brother later tonight to help him get ready for the Greens Club Championship this weekend! Wish him luck! The Dyes are back at it again!!!
